If Disneyland is the ultimate playground for kids, then Cancun is the ultimate playground for adults! There is so much recreation available in Cancun that, if you don't pace yourself, you'll need a vacation when you get home!

Many of Cancun's recreational options are water-related because of Cancun's spectacular coastline. Swimming, sailing, snorkeling, Scuba diving, kayaking, water skiing and windsurfing are all fun ways to enjoy Cancun's warm and clear waters. Parasailing and skydiving is also available for those who want to get a bird's eye view of Cancun and the interior jungles. On shore recreation includes renting ATV's and horses to explore the beaches north and south of town.

Interestingly one of Cancun's most popular recreational sports is one of the world's oldest...swimming. Because Cancun's waters are so calm, clear and warm, even people who normally stay poolside find themselves swimming inthe ocean in front of their hotel. Ocean swimming doesn't get any better than this!

Within an hour south of Cancun there are two spectacular destinations on the coast that also offer various types of recreation. XEL-HA and XCARET are two separate resorts that feature everything from swimming with dolphins, snorkeling in incredibly clear waters, to riding tubes down crystal clear rivers. Both destinations charge an admission. Where Xel-Ha is a fun destination for a half day road trip, XCARET is a good place to spend the whole day!

For more information on fishing drop by the FISHING section of Cancun Expo. Duffers can view our GOLFING section for additional information on Cancun golf options. For additional activities check out our FUN STUFF directory!
