All inclusive hotels are more popular along the Mayan Coast than in any other Mexico destination. And for a good reason. It's kind of nice to know that once you check in at the front desk the vast majority of your vacation has already been paid for.
Most all inclusive hotels along the Mayan Coast include the room, the food, and the drinks. They also usually include some type of day and/or evening entertainment, as well as water sports equipment such as kayaks, masks and snorkels, etc.
The down side of staying at an all-inclusive resort is that it can be tough to find a reason to leave the resort. Which means you are probably going to see less of the Cancun area than most of the people who are staying at regular hotels and venturing out to explore the great geography, shops, restaurants, clubs and other fun things that Cancun has to offer.
The secret to doing an all-inclusive vacation right is to set some time aside each day to leave the resort and go out to sample the town's charms. Yes, it can be tough to spend money on a meal and drinks at one of Cancun's popular restaurants when you know you have a free-bee waiting for you back at the all-inclusive, but it is usually worth the effort to get out and go.
After all...when you get home from vacation your frineds are going to say "How was Cancun?" Do you really want to say "Don't know, we never left the hotel"? I didn't think so.
